Kyle Kane

P173Kyle Ann Kane is a former private practice partner and law professor who first came to college consulting as a volunteer in local high schools, counseling first generation college applicants.  As a mother with children who struggled with learning differences, Kyle decided to focus her practice solely on helping students with learning challenges when she left the law.

She has expertise in standardized testing accommodations, assistive technologies and special education law and regulation.  She welcomes all students with learning challenges, including students with ADHD, executive dysfunction, Aspergers and High Functioning Autism.  Having taught writing to law students for over 10 years, Kyle also brings an expertise in concise, expressive essay writing instruction to her students.

Kyle is an active member in the Learning Disabilities Association, the Autism Society and the International Dyslexia Association and constantly attends trainings and seminars to remain abreast of all new developments in the field.  She travels to college campus at least 25% of her time to gain the knowledge necessary to ensure a good fit between her students' strengths and challenges and college.

Kyle sees clients Maryland, DC and Northern Virginia.
